The two met while students at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and it was "love at first sight," Winston says, a sentiment Whitney echoes. While they enjoyed their life in Charlotte, they found themselves drawn to the Outer Banks. The couples love of the outdoors and the area's natural beauty made it the perfect choice for a new home.

Since they arrived both Winston and Whitney's siblings have since relocated to the the area. In addition to his professional and busy personal life, Winston enjoys giving back to his community.
