Folks through my experience of buying and selling real estate in the OBX over the past 4 years one thing is certain; the success and fruitful experiences had is because of Whitney Hawkins! We could not have selected a more engaging, responsive, dependable, knowledgeable, faithful real estate agent when we decided to buy our first vacation home in Corolla just over 4 years ago. In short, no matter what your real estate needs (first time buyer to RE investor) you need Whitney Hawkins. Details matter! I wish to express the great appreciation and respect I have for Whitney Hawkins as a real estate agent. I confess over four years of time and working with Whitney my wife and I have gotten to know her and her husband Winston Hawkins (Hawkins Real Estate Team) on a personal level and we do regard them as friends. Four years ago, my wife and I were out of state buyers (note at the time first time OBX buyers) and relied solely on our out of state licensed real estate agent parents to find us an OBX agent. Whitney came highly recommended and we decided to have her find our first home in Corolla. I mention this because I grew up around real estate as my parents were agents (one of which was also a licensed broker). I have seen the good, bad, and ugly if you will regarding real estate transactions. I understand what is expected and what makes a good agent; Whitney is not a good agent she is a GREAT agent! The few adjectives describing Whitney above do not do Whitney justice. She understands “details matter” as she has the knowledge to identify those details and the work ethic to see them resolved. Whitney uses her vast knowledge of the market (micro and macro) as a strong negotiator and partner in your real estate endeavors. Whitney goes above and beyond what is required and serves her clients to the end. This has been exemplified on several occasions but none more than our last real estate purchase which closed in Fall of 2023 (Home Build). Whitney was there the whole step of the way checking on build progress, updating us regularly, regularly Facetiming us on site, sending pictures, tracking and getting schedule updates from an unresponsive builders agent, working with builder on site representatives, inquiring on long lead items, working on punch list, meeting with furniture vendors to select furniture, relocating personal items from other properties, dealing with post COVID bank/lender fallout, closing attorneys, appraisers, etc. all while we were in another state. Whitney did what had to be done to make our dreams a reality. We couldn’t have done it without her and wouldn’t have wanted to! Please understand as a Civil Engineer it was hard to relinquish control but we trust Whitney. Again, Whitney’s vast knowledge, work ethic and professional representation are invaluable.
