Have you wondered where our fresh and delicious seafood comes from here on the Outer Banks? Our local fisherman who many have great-great grandfathers that made a living catching and delivering our seafood right to the docks in Wanchese, Oregon Inlet, Hatteras Island, and Pirates Cove. Although there is really never a "bad" time to enjoy this islands spoils, one of our favorite times to enjoy is during the Outer Banks Seafood Festival. Held in honor of the island's rich fishing heritage, the Outer Banks Event Site in Nags Head will be hosting the Seafood Festival this Saturday, October 17th from 10:30am-6:00pm. Come enjoy the freshest, most delicious seafood in the world (we think!) learn the importance our seafood has on our local economy, promote a positive social impact, and help provide the opportunity for non-profit and educational organizations to raise funds through participation in the festival. General admission is just $3, kids 12 and under are free! Come see Captains from Wicked Tuna Outer Banks, fill your bellies with our local cuisine, listen to live music, and simply help us celebrate our local seafood heritage and community.
We hope to see you there!
